Introduction
We must face up to the fact that one day our time here will come to an end. However, before we can leave this earth, we must die empty.
The Richest Place on Earth
The cemetery is the richest place on earth, and I’ll tell you why. What ends up buried there are all the desires, dreams, hopes, plans and ambitions of the dearly departed that never made it further than their daydreams. There is a worldwide pandemic of people dying without being emptied. They pass away taking with them all their uniquely individual gifts to a spirit world that has no use for them. This is referring to the idea of your higher purpose. The value of life is not in its duration, but in its donation. You are not important because of how long you live, you are important because of how effectively you live. We must do whatever we can to ensure that we do not let our gifts go to waste in the time that we have, but instead that we exhaust every drop of potential in us to live a full life that makes a difference. That is what our higher self is always trying to do: spur us on to find ourselves 100 percent emptied before the grave.
The Die Empty List
One by one, we tuck away clues into our inner chamber and dismiss them with all kinds of excuses, like ‘when I can afford it’ or ‘when I’ve got the time’. But doing this will never bring you closer to the purpose that your soul has here on earth. You must attune to the inner agenda that is playing as background noise to your daily life and start putting it into action. Each person has different things imprinted into the fabric of their lives. Your higher self has an agenda about the things that need to happen, the divine plan to empty you of your greatness and this is the ‘die empty list’. You can create one by reflecting deeply on what you believe you are destined to achieve during your lifetime.
Look for the Signs of Expired Sessions
To help us perform the mission of emptying ourselves, our higher self will instil within us feelings of misplacement or incongruity. Whatever you may be thinking, for example ‘I just don’t want to work here anymore’, they are signals that it is time to move on to the next chapter of your life. These desires we often push away because they seem ill-timed and inappropriate often reveal a much larger purpose and chance for expansion. However, due to various factors, some being low self-esteem, fear of change or imposter syndrome, we recede into a terrible thing: stalemate.
Resist Stalemate
If we persist in a situation that makes us unhappy without making any attempt to change things and move forward, that is a decision we are choosing to make. Stalemate, stasis
and stagnation are not what the universe wishes for us. Misery is not a mystery, it’s a crucial message. When you are aligned with your purpose, misery never sticks around for long. Many people go through the motions of life, their purposes buried and dormant, waiting for the ‘right time’. In fact, ‘the right time’ is the moment you feel out of place. Any feeling that you want to achieve more is undoubtedly coming from your higher self.
Exercise
Spend three minutes writing a list of things that you feel have expired in your life and that you don’t feel aligned with anymore. It could be big things or smaller ones: you don’t like your couch, hairstyle, your career, the degree you’re studying for. Reflect on this list. Start with one of the bigger-picture items you’ve written down – perhaps your career, which can take up a significant part of your life. Ask first if it is what you want to be doing or if you feel there is something greater, and go from there.
Pay Attention to your Grievances
The annoyance and imposition is actually an opportunity knocking at your front door. There are opportunities we have all missed because we don’t realise the connection between what is afflicting us and what is attracting us. It’s often said the thing that angers you the most is the thing you’re called to fix in this world. Grievances are strong indicators and messages from our higher self.. They’re like little taps on the shoulder to tell us ‘it’s time to move on’.
Exercise
Spend time reflecting on your latest grievances in life. What has it brought up for you? How has it changed the direction your life is taking? Can you see the bigger picture
Don’t Wait to be Rescued
Some people wait and pray to various religious figures and deities asking for support, help and guidance to ‘find’ themselves and ‘discover’ their purpose. remember: coiled up deeply inside of you is the first and last of everything about you. You are not a half-completed being; you are whole and have been ever since birth. You are filled to the brim with every potential that you will ever need in this life. Nobody is coming to save you or rescue you or tell you that you’re more than capable of shifting into a new season. That’s why it’s so important to realise that the person who takes responsibility and leadership or emptying you before you meet the grave is your higher self. We aren’t meant to bury possibilities and potential. Please return one day to where we all came from having lived fully and died empty, unleashing every shred of your greatness here.
